Core Principle

MTHC believes in the value of peer knowledge and community. It is with this core principle that our programs and organization has run these years with volunteers and peer based education and connection.

history

The Minnesota Transgender Health Coalition is has created programs with the experience of community organizers and activists. Our key programs have included our legendary Shot Clinic and Syringe Exchange Program, Trans Support Groups, HIV prevention testing and education, Trans Health Matters Forums, Trans Health Conference as well as many creative community events like BBQ black brown and queer, Trans Jam, Glam Slam and more. MTHC also housed the Exchange for many years with an intentional partnership with TYSN the trans youth support network and RARE Productions. The Exchange hosted many community outreach components including ART, a food shelve, clothing, gender gear. The Exchange also hosted the MN Two Spirit Society, Occupy Homes, MN SWOP, Transformation Church, and countless community events.
